At ORA Traders we trade Europe’s competitive markets with our own cutting edge trading software. We have a high dependency on state-of-the-art supporting technology, to be successful in the trading business continuous designing, maintaining and improving our infrastructure is essential. The infrastructure team is responsible for providing that service. With over 8 data centers located in different countries, hosting servers, each running software components talking to each other over the network, you’ll need to be highly skilled to keep this environment up, running and adapting to the ever-changing needs.

As a member of the team, you’ll be responsible for the design and maintenance of our office and low latency trading network. You will be involved with our trading and business to understand their needs and come up with proposals for improvements. No day will be the same and you will work on a variety of activities, ranging from daily tweaking and optimizations, troubleshooting, but also on long term projects. Where it makes sense, we expect a high level of automation of the work that you’re doing.

What we expect

We’re looking for creative, pragmatic and motivated engineers who enjoy tackling challenges together with your development and trading colleagues. Your job will involve interaction and coordination with external parties and, where needed, travel to our data centers around Europe.

To be successfull we expect from you:

  • Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of networking as well as recent development in networking technology and techniques, preferably backed up by a certification
  • To be able and like to handle a large scope, ranging from office networking to low latency/high bandwidth networks
  • Experience with network automation and expertise with different network equipment, protocols and brands
  • Knowledge of Windows systems, LINUX and Scripting Languages
  • Knowledge of any modern programming language is preferred as well
